Daniel Wong | CTO, R&D

Daniel, officially trained by Netafim and Mottech (Motorola Irrigation Control), has established himself as a key player in the design of decentralized water management, water treatment systems, and Internet of Things (IoT) devices in high-tech Agriculture across the region including Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.

He pioneered the first hydroponic green wall integrated with real-time online water systems control and monitoring system in Singapore in 2008. Shortly after, he designed and built cloud computing into rainwater harvesting systems and distributed water disinfection systems including Screen Filtration, Ultra-Filtration, and Ultraviolet technology.

In 2014, Daniel and his team designed, built, and operated the first high-tech greenhouse in Singapore, equipped with state-of-the-art farming technology. Progressively, he went on to develop, improve, and implement Netatech’s proprietary Farm IOT based on cutting edge, highly scalable serverless architecture.

Today, Daniel leads the technology and operations team for Netafresh, who currently owns 36 commercial-scale greenhouses, producing pesticide-free produce daily.
